Wailea is a little oasis found at the end of the road heading south from Kihei Maui. Years ago I remember driving to Wailea with my family to go the beach on a dirt road, and parking at what is now known as the Four Seasons Resort. Where the Four Season Resort stands, that use to be sand dunes, and one of the prettiest stretches of beach. Times have changed, and as people discovered the beauty of Wailea/Makena, it developed into one of the world’s finest planned oceanfront developments in the world.

Myself I feel I have grown up with the Wailea development, having worked on the development of the the first hotel in Wailea, Intercontinental Hotel, which is now known as The Marriott Hotel. As a contractor in later years I worked with Goodfellow Bros working on the last phase of Makena Surf Resort, which is an oceanfront condominium in Makena Maui.
Moving on from construction after 16 years owning Nickens Interiors with my brother, I became a Realtor.
