Maui offers a variety of lifestyles according to what is your passion. I love living in the country on 2 acres, growing vegetables, and hanging out with my family. Sometimes, it’s a morning surf or afternoon windsurf session. My oldest son is a great surfer, but then again, he loves playing tennis at the local country club in Spreckelsville with his wife and daughter. Above is the Wailea Elua Village pool. This is about as good as it gets located in a gated community, and on the beach.
Maui has amazing resort properties that are pretty busy throughout the year. Wailea Resort has the perfect island getaway on sandy beaches. Visitors have their favorite places to stay, such as a condo or a luxury hotel in Wailea Maui. I would have to say the adult pool at Wailea Beach Villas is amazing. You’re just steps to the Wailea boardwalk and Wailea Beach.
Another island favorite is Wailea Ekahi Oceanfront Condos; as you enter Wailea, it’s sitting on an amazing piece of beachfront property. Spacious oceanfront property with one and two-bedroom units, one of my favorites. Wailea has something for everyone who is looking for an oceanfront resort, beautiful beaches, golf courses, and great dining experiences.

Kihei does offer excellent choices in oceanfront condos. One of my favorites in Kihei is Royal Mauian. Just about every condo unit has direct oceanfront views. Another Oceanfront condo looking into Wailea is the Mana Kai. Mana Kai is such a sweet location looking right in Wailea. There are other options besides the oceanfront in Wailea and Kihei to consider.
Sometimes, you find after living in a condo, some people want to step it up for a backyard and a little more room to stretch out a bit. There are so many choices to consider, like the size of the house, location, and prices. I find that many people like Wailuku because it’s central and easy to get around the island. Upcountry Maui is appealing, with cooler weather, maybe larger lots, or 2 plus acres with an ocean view. Then, you are looking at Kula homes to fit your lifestyle.
The Northshore really is a cool place to live. In communities Like Spreckelsville Maui, you have the country club for tennis, and golf, and is an ideal place to get together with new, and old friends. You have fabulous beaches for morning walks, or if you windsurf, kite, or foil it’s right at your doorsteps.
My daughter Meili gave up being a wedding coordinator at the Marriott in Wailea, for a much simpler lifestyle. She is spending more time with her two horses, two dogs, and her new pigs, Ginger and Peter, and two designer chickens. She also is growing microgreens for the market.
My wife Ivy is an artist and loves creating beauty on our property in Haiku. It’s her way of being creative, it’s all a bonus for me.
