Wednesday is always the mid-week push to work on Maui real estate marketing. I really like to try and get in the water and surf, and windsurf on Maui’s North Shore, it’s part of the reason that I live here. Yesterday I paddled out for a surf at Hookipa Maui surf/windsurfing beach. There was a mid-size swell running, so I paddled out for an early surf session. After finishing a ride I noticed this guy lost his surfboard and offered to paddle after it. After retrieving his board, I paddled out back into the lineup. Looking out, I see a set approaching and start paddling to get over it. So I end up getting pounded by the set, and my board is ripped away from me. So I had to swim into shore and called it a day.
Then off to the office to work on marketing for some Upcountry Maui real estate projects I had been working on.
At the end of the day, I thought I would go windsurfing and just pack the day in with a windsurf session. I am on Maui’s north shore at Kanaha Beach. The wind is blowing strong and looks like fun. After powering a few runs, I came in and this heavy gust of wind blew me off my board and I flew right through my sail. That was it, I was finished and called it a day. Lot of swimming and blow-out sails, time to head home and just relax. All in all, it was another great day in Maui.
