Windsurfing at Hookipa Maui. This last week the surf was hugh on Maui. Jaws is known around the world for giant waves. Guys like Ian Walsh and Shane Dorian were riding 40 ft waves which is pretty crazy. Honolua Bay was closing out the bay with big surf. So the day after the waves came down to where they are ride able.
I was working at my home office and got the call from my wife that Hookipa Beach was going off. Waves were still big and the wind was blowing hard enough. So I headed down to Hookipa in the afternoon and video the action. I surf at Hookipa but my windsurfing skills are not up to big surf at Hookipa. But the guys out windsurfing were having a great time.
