Just last week I took a trip to the island of Lanai with my daughter Meili and my wife Ivy. As we set sail to Lanai we were welcome by whales jumping everywhere. We also ran into some rain as we were approaching the island of Lanai and had to wait outside the harbor till the squall passed. The rain lifted shortly and we headed into the harbor and it was a beautiful day. I really enjoy Lanai for it’s natural beauty and pristine beaches.

If you have the time take the shuttle to Lanai city, it brings you back to the plantation days of old. Its always fun to head up to Kole Lodge and take a walk through the grounds, they did an amazing job landscaping the hotel grounds.
